Principal’s Comment – 22nd February 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another week, the high temperatures of which have tested us a bit, although I am sure our participants in aquatics enjoyed the opportunities it provided. It has been another good week with the rhythm of the term well under way and a pleasingly high number of commendations being logged (and very few ‘strikes’).

Aussie of the Month

On the topic of commendations, the School has embraced this award which recognises exemplars of the Australian character.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Camps

Although our website contains all the information regarding fees and associated costs I thought that a reminder of the main camp costs might be helpful. We do seek to assist parents by offering payment plans if needed: please contact Reception if this is an option that you would like to explore.

Principal’s Comment – 8 th February 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was good to welcome our new students to the School on Monday for their morning of induction designed to help their transition into the life of the School. All seemed to go well, and the start of the term for the whole School seems to have gone equally smoothly.

Principal’s Comment 6th December 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another School year, this time our tenth, which has seen many positive elements.

Awards’ Night
The atmosphere in the Civic Centre on Wednesday night really brought so many of these elements to the fore and it was very good to see a packed auditorium for our Awards’ Night.

Principal’s Comment St. Andrew’s Day 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today is St Andrew’s Day – he is the patron saint of Scotland, who was crucified at Patras on an X-shaped cross because he felt himself unworthy of being crucified on the same shape of cross on which Jesus was crucified. One legend has it that the white cross of the flag of Scotland has its origins in this form of crucifixion. We are also, at last we might sigh, on the eve of summer!

Principal’s Comment 23rd November 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a busy and entertaining week with student leadership and involvement to the fore.

McDonalds McHappy Day

This involvement and commitment was very evident with our Year 10 students who organised the McHappy Day activities and participated in two, raising $350 from their car wash and face painting.

Principal’s Comment 9th November 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another week, with the term rattling along all too quickly towards its finale. Our Year 12 ATAR candidates had their finale today, with the last ATAR exam for them being completed this morning. We look forward to some good results when they are announced on the 17th December.

Principal’s Comment 2nd November 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another week and our ATAR candidates are almost half-way through their exams; Years 10 and 11 start their diet next week, with Year 11s on study leave, unless in School for exams (in uniform of course).

Commendations

Hopefully they will be expending the levels of effort shown by the following students who gained commendations recently.

Principal’s Comment 26th October 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Esperance Show got in the way of the customary ‘Comment’ last week but I hope that the gap has been filled, at least in part, by the daily ‘EACS Brekkie Bytes’. There is, however, still much to comment upon, providing something of a smorgasbord of information to provide further nourishment.
