Principal’s Comment – 10th May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

A busy week has seen much activity both in an out of the School, with wintry weather conditions adding a bit of ‘spice’.

Outdoor Education

Our Year 11 and 12 students had the perfect opportunity to hone their bush camping skills in some inclement weather in the Condingup area.

SCHOLARSHIPS and BURSARIES

The School is now inviting applications for scholarships and bursaries for entry in 2020; a limited number can be made available for entry in the current year

Scholarships are available for students who show significant ability in the following areas:

Academic Achievement, Expressive Arts, Sport, General Excellence

Bursaries are also available for students whose family’s financial circumstances would make it impossible for them to attend the School without some assistance

Dear Parents and Carers,

Good afternoon and welcome back to my ‘Comment’ after a bit of a gap. During my personal leave family matters stabilised somewhat, which was a relief; my thanks for the many expressions of kind concern.

PThe week has started well with a visit by the Revd.

Principal’s Comment – 29th March 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Good afternoon and I hope that you have had a good week. Certainly there have been good things happening at the School as we move into the final stages of the term.

Year 11 and Year 12 Parent-Student-Teacher Meeting

This was a constructive and convivial occasion, which should have helped in the whole process of providing useful feedback.

Principal’s Comment – 22nd March 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been good to be back in Esperance, and at the School, after a week of meetings with the ASC and the Diocese. Happily, there was much that was constructive in these and I took much delight from the many positive comments about our excellent ATAR results and success with Big Picture.

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another week and it looks like it might also be the end of the summer heat. Our tennis players travelled all the way to Albany for the Fast Fours tennis and experienced so much bad weather there that they did not hit a ball, the tournament eventually being cancelled.

Principal’s Comment – 1st March 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

A long weekend in prospect and, hopefully, the chance to draw breath. Although EACS Brekkie Bytes keeps you posted of affairs on a day-to-day basis there are a few points to be made here.

Study Skills

The ‘Elevate’ study skills programme, which was delivered to all students this week, again proved to be a highly informative and worthwhile process.

Principal’s Comment – 22nd February 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

The end of another week, the high temperatures of which have tested us a bit, although I am sure our participants in aquatics enjoyed the opportunities it provided. It has been another good week with the rhythm of the term well under way and a pleasingly high number of commendations being logged (and very few ‘strikes’).

Aussie of the Month

On the topic of commendations, the School has embraced this award which recognises exemplars of the Australian character.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Camps

Although our website contains all the information regarding fees and associated costs I thought that a reminder of the main camp costs might be helpful. We do seek to assist parents by offering payment plans if needed: please contact Reception if this is an option that you would like to explore.

Principal’s Comment – 8 th February 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was good to welcome our new students to the School on Monday for their morning of induction designed to help their transition into the life of the School. All seemed to go well, and the start of the term for the whole School seems to have gone equally smoothly.
