Principal’s Comment – 23rd May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a glorious week of fine autumnal weather which has allowed us to enjoy all that is on offer here in a relaxed manner. As I write, I recall the lyrics of ‘May Morning’, from Scottish band ‘Runrig’, which chime well with life here.

These national tests for students in Years 7 and 9 have now been completed with the final catch-up session, which took place this morning. Apart from some communication issues on the first day, which were resolved quickly and satisfactorily, all appears to have gone smoothly. We look forward to the results, hoping for confirmation, again, of the continual progress in the standards of numeracy and literacy that we have made over the last few years.

Year 9 Parent-Student-Teacher Meeting

My colleagues and I, again, appreciated the opportunity to share thoughts with parents and students in Year 9. Although the turnout was relatively low it was clear that the occasion was a useful one. Parents and students in Year 10 will have a similar opportunity in Week 9, on Wednesday 26th June, from 1530.

Interviews for enrolment in 2020 are now taking place and details of application for scholarships, which close on the 3rd June, are available on our website:

and on Facebook.

Country Week

A reminder that fee accounts must be in order to allow attendance of students at Country Week. If you have any concerns about this please contact, in the first instance, our Finance and Administration Officer, Mrs Lisa Stokes.
