Principal’s Comment – 5th July 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Another term over and the holidays are about to begin. Hopefully they will give a chance for recuperation from all the various ‘bugs’ and illnesses that have afflicted so many over the last few weeks. The final day – with a much-reduced School population – saw us collapse the normal timetable in favour of a range of activities in which multi-year groups participated.

Principal’s Comment – 21st June 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

I write with the happy prospect of an evening with our School community to follow later in the day. I look forward to this and to being with you for what I am sure will be a most enjoyable occasion.

Country Week

Continuing to look forward, preparations are well-advanced for this festival of sport, which takes place in Week 10: we are taking six staff and 46 students to play games in basketball, netball, hockey and volleyball, with dance also featuring.

Principal’s Comment – 31st May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are at the mid-point of the term and time for a breather over the long weekend.

These appear to have, again, run smoothly and I hope that the results will, ultimately, bear fruit for the students involved; I know that some of my colleagues have been impressed with what they have seen so far in scripts.

Principal’s Comment – 23rd May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a glorious week of fine autumnal weather which has allowed us to enjoy all that is on offer here in a relaxed manner. As I write, I recall the lyrics of ‘May Morning’, from Scottish band ‘Runrig’, which chime well with life here.

Principal’s Comment – 10th May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

A busy week has seen much activity both in an out of the School, with wintry weather conditions adding a bit of ‘spice’.

Outdoor Education

Our Year 11 and 12 students had the perfect opportunity to hone their bush camping skills in some inclement weather in the Condingup area.

The School is now inviting applications for scholarships and bursaries for entry in 2020; a limited number can be made available for entry in the current year

Scholarships are available for students who show significant ability in the following areas:

Academic Achievement, Expressive Arts, Sport, General Excellence

Bursaries are also available for students whose family’s financial circumstances would make it impossible for them to attend the School without some assistance

Principal’s Comment – 3rd May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Good afternoon and welcome back to my ‘Comment’ after a bit of a gap. During my personal leave family matters stabilised somewhat, which was a relief; my thanks for the many expressions of kind concern.

PThe week has started well with a visit by the Revd.

Principal’s Comment – 29th March 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Good afternoon and I hope that you have had a good week. Certainly there have been good things happening at the School as we move into the final stages of the term.

Year 11 and Year 12 Parent-Student-Teacher Meeting

This was a constructive and convivial occasion, which should have helped in the whole process of providing useful feedback.

Principal’s Comment – 22nd March 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been good to be back in Esperance, and at the School, after a week of meetings with the ASC and the Diocese. Happily, there was much that was constructive in these and I took much delight from the many positive comments about our excellent ATAR results and success with Big Picture.
