Tennis Specialist Program
Statement of aims and objectives
Esperance Anglican Community School’s Tennis Specialist Program has been established to create and foster in students an enjoyment for the game of tennis and to build fundamental skills, both technical and tactical.
Coaching
The coach delivering the program is experienced and well qualified having coached for over 25 years and has attained Tennis Australia’s Junior Development Coach accreditation. Private or group lessons are available upon request.
Competition and links
Over time it is expected that the program will expand and diversify providing opportunities for students to play competitively, both within and outside the Esperance region.
Athlete Selection Process
Students will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Ability (previous experience and potential)
- Enthusiasm (positive attitude and keenness to be involved)
- Commitment (to the School, the Programme and future success)
Program Content
Students involved in the program will be exposed to both practical and theory lessons during allocated class time. Students accepted into the program will have the opportunity to learn the following:
